The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Remodelers is honoring Steve Cunningham, CAPS, CGP, a remodeler from Williamsburg, Va. , as the 2019 NAHB Remodeler of this Year. The NAHB Remodeler of those Year award acknowledges superior business direction, exemplary NAHB involvement in any way levels and outstanding contributions to the remodeling market.

“Steve has become a distinguished remodeler over the last three decades by providing excellent work for his customers and has sincere enthusiasm to give back to his local community and industry,” stated NAHB Remodelers Chair Tim Ellis, CAPS, CGP, CGR, GMR, Master CGP, a remodeler from Bel Air, Md.” We are thrilled to honor him with this prestigious award”

Cunningham first acquired his business license in 1988 and based Cunningham Contracting Inc. As a tile and flooring company. In 2007, Steve expanded his company into overall contracting. As a part of this Peninsula Home Builders Association (now merged with Tidewater Builders Association) and NAHB Remodelers because 2012, Cunningham has functioned in local and national leadership roles for both associations ( such as 2016 president of their local institution and 2017 seat of his local Remodelers Council.

Cunningham was acknowledged by his peers using the NAHB Remodelers Chairman’s Distinguished Service Award at 2017, NAHB Remodeler of those Month at Sept. 2018, Best Builder Award from Peninsula HBA plus also a Guild Quality GuildMaster Award. Steve and his company are devoted to giving back to the community. Cunningham Contracting has built two homes for Habitat for Humanity and many different projects. Along together with all the local HBA, Steve assisted to redesign and design just a small girl’s bedroom using an RocSolid Foundation to help kids with cancer. In 2017, Cunningham Contracting along with the members of this local Remodeler’s Council completely remodeled the house of a York County veteran.

Cunningham will be respected Jan. 21, 2020, throughout the NAHB Remodelers All-Stars Celebration in combination with the NAHB International Builders’ Show at Las Vegas.
